This seems to happen all the time nowadays and it really pisses me off. You can’t get away from it. It’s everywhere. Everyone’s doing it. I went to see Robin Williams live in San Francisco for one of his stand up routines. Ok yeah, it was expected that he’d talk politics, but I at least thought he’d take a unique approach to it. Nope. He was doing the same Sarah Palin jokes that every other lame comedian was doing. How original. He would also talk about how great Obama was. Dude, you’re a comedian not a political commentator. I also went to Lebowski Fest in SF. Jeff “The Dude” Dowd, who was the inspiration for Jeff Bridges’ character made an appearance and said a few words. Every time he spoke, he was trashing Sarah Palin. What the hell? I’m here for fuckin’ Lebowski Fest, not to hear your drunken political ranting. More recently I caught a clip of Stevie Wonder performing on American Idol. Man, was I let down. I was expecting pure awesomeness from his performance, but instead got a lackluster piece of shit. He was off pitch most of the time and could barely enunciate the lyrics. Plus in the last song of his medly, he says “I love you Barack Obama!” Wow, seriously? Please leave out the lame political commentary. It just pisses me off!

You get The Obama Deception. Yep, that’s right. From the same people who think 9/11 was an inside job they somehow manage to pool enough money together to produce the mother of all conspiracy theory films. According to these nut jobs, Bush and Obama are nothing but pawns and puppets working for global bankers who want to control the world via The New World Order.
Give me a break, people. Ok, granted I didn’t care too much for Bush, but Obama isn’t much better. The film makers take news stories and bits of facts and over inflate them into crazy, over-the-top conspiracy theories. As absurd as the film is, watch it and see what you think. Some information is interesting, but these guys take everything way too far.

Red Bull Cocaine
Apparently a German food institute found small levels of cocaine in samples of red bull energy drinks in which Germany may consider a nationwide ban of the product.
Seriously? I’m pretty sure that it’s always been in it since it contains coca leaf extract. Eventhough it’s been de-cocainized (is that even a word?) I’m sure the process isn’t 100% effective. It just goes to show that someone new at a food safety plant manages to raise hell about nothing. Red Bull, keep doing what you’re doing.

Gummy Bacon
As if real bacon didn’t taste good enough by itself, people are constantly trying to concoct the holy grail of bacon flavored foods. Unfortunately for this gummy bacon product, it doesn’t actually taste like bacon. It’s strawberry flavored! Ok, the packaging is cool as well as the look of the candy itself, but minus major points for the flavor.

Ok, this is more like it! Bacon and chocolate combined must be a god-like combination of flavor! Thank you Mo for your ingenious candy creation. I think if See’s made made bacon flavored chocolate this world would be complete.

Quite possibly another heavenly creation is the maple-bacon lollipop from Das Foods. This sweet piece of swine has actual chuncks of real bacon in it! Girls, you can really win a man’s heart by giving him these swine flavored suckers! Maybe that’s why they’re aptly named “Man Bait.”
