Acrylic Table
From a strictly visual standpoint this acrylic table is quite stunning. From a practical standpoint it’s a pain in the ass. How are you supposed to sit at this kind of table? You can’t really scoot your chair close to it without having your legs run into it and toppling the whole damn thing over. It would be more useful as a nightstand or whatnot.

Pretentious douchebag screenwriter Josh Olson recently wrote an article titled “I Will Not Read Your Fucking Script” in which he explains his reasoning.
First off, the man makes a valid point. I must admit I do agree with him, though I believe he is taking the wrong approach toward this issue. By being a total dick all he is doing is alienating himself from all the powers that be in Hollywood. Okay sure, his message is directed toward all the no-name writers out there, but it’s not just that. It’s his display of social dynamics that will get him separated from the Hollywood money teet.
Josh’s “dick” approach could be justified only if he was viewed as a legendary icon. Unfortunately for him his resume isn’t up to par. Just because you had one successful oscar nominated film (A History of Violence) doesn’t mean you can be a dick to people. Pen a few more good flicks and then you can be the biggest dick to everyone.

Atari 800 Laptop
Master builder Ben Heckendorn has really outdone himself this time! His newest mod build is this Atari 800 laptop. It comes complete with a built-in cartridge bay, speakers, volume knob, and a spring loaded tilting keyboard! Now if only there was a way to include a built-in 5.25″ floppy drive we’d be in business.
Ben professionally builds portable versions of vintage gaming systems such as Nintendo, Sega, Atari, Commodore 64, etc. If you’re interested in building one for yourself, he has written a book that shows you how called Hacking Video Game Consoles.
